Yvonne Marie Julienne Baruti Kimbimbi, daughter of Baruti Leon and Diouf Caroline. Born on June 16th, 1937 in Lopoldville today Kinshasa. She was the second child in a family of 4 boys and 2 girls. She did primary and secondary school at Javoueh in Brazzaville. After graduating, she returned to Lopoldville and married Emile Jacques Kimbimbi Ngonga on July 14th, 1956. They had 5 children: Anne-Marie Fifi, Helene Nene, Marc Ren, Myriam Thrse and Amelia Mimi; 11 grandchildren: Max, Erwin, Jol, Nella, Gloria, Yemima, Ketsia, Nathan-David, Keren, Jackson and Win-Elie; and 9 great-grandchildren: Maliyah, Eden, Myla-Ann, Moriyah, Gabriel, Mikeya, Grayson, Enzo and Tianna. An ambitious woman, she began her career as a saleswoman in 1959 at the SEDEC department store. Then, she went to Belgium and France for an internship. When she returned to Kinshasa in 1961, she was promoted to head of her department. In 1963, she began her long career as a travel agent with Transmondiale then moved on to AMICONGO (AMIZA) until her retirement in 1991. In addition to her professional career, she was passionate about cooking, travelling, gardening, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren of whom she was particularly proud. A devout Christian, she was for 20 years an active member of her church La Borne UPN before her departure for the United States. She went home to be with her Lord whom she believed in and served until her last breath on February 13th, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2021 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving.
