Winnie Pitmon was born August 8, 1933, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, to parents Charles and Violet Crow, Wills, Miller. She passed away peacefully at daughters home in Arlington, Tuesday, August 22, 2023. Winnie was a longtime resident of Town Village Crossing in Arlington Winnie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Pitmon; sons, Roger Davenport and Wes Davenport; sons-in-law; Charles Jones and William Armstrong and her sisters, Peggy Woody and Flora Jo Powell. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Susan (husband, Mark) Cayton, Detra Jones and Vickie Armstrong; grandchildren, Brad Armstrong, Joel Armstrong, Heather Taylor, James Halza, Nathan Davenport, Courtney Halza, Lisa Breeds, David Cayton and Keith Cayton; 12 Great Grandchildren; sibling, Fay DeWitt, Kay Newport, Jim Miller and Jan Moore. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, August 25, 2023, at the Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving, TX. Services are under the direction of the Colonial Funeral Home of Irving located at 606 West Airport Freeway, Irving, TX Winnies family has requested in lieu of flowers, that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 8900 John W, Carpenter Fwy, Dallas, TX.
