Obituary

William Tollett Jr, 89, died peacefully on Friday, January 16, 2026 at his home in Irving, TX.

William "Bill" Tollett was born on November 20, 1936, in San Antonio, Texas, to William F. Tollett Sr. and Flossie Maye Tollett. On February 8, 1958, he married the love of his life, Jeraldine Badgett. Together they built a loving family and were blessed with four children-Kari, Gary, Cheryl and Terry.

Bill dedicated 40 years of his career to Stewart & Stevenson, where he worked as a Fabrication Manager and Salesman before retiring. Known for his strong work ethic and craftmanship, he took great pride in his work.

After retirement, Bill devoted his time to one of his greatest passions-rebuilding and restoring classic cars. Many hours were happily spent in his garage bringing old vehicles back to life, especially classic Mustangs.

In 1965, Bill became a member of Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church, where he served faithfully for many years. One of his most meaningful contributions was leading a project to refurbish and restore classic Mustangs that were raffled during the Church's annual festival, helping raise funds for the parish.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Jeraldine; his youngest son, Terry; and his daughter-in-law, Mara.

He is survived by his daughters, Kari Mlynarski (Steve) of Keller, Texas, and Cheryl Blackmon of Corinth, Texas; his son Gary Tollett (Tina) of Sanger, Texas; and his sister, Nina Jo Serio of Florida. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren – Michelle Hernandez, Vanessa Osborne, Stephanie Blackmon, Drake Mlynarski, Jessica Coello, Alvin Blackmon, Jordan Tollett, Margot Sanford, and William Tollett-as well as 21 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Bill will be remembered for his devotion to family, his faith, his craftmanship, and the many lives he touched throughout his years.
