William Francis Strong, who passed away on July 5, 2018, never met anyone who was a stranger. Bills ability to talk to anyone came from his capacity for truly seeing the good in everyone. Born in Hartford, Connecticut on August 31, 1937, he married the center of his world, Roberta Strong, in 1962 and never had greater happiness than married life with her. He unfailingly boasted about his daughters Laurie Sanford and Kathryn Hansen. When not bragging about his children, he would brag about his grandsons Andrew Sanford and fiance Cailey Formichella and Matthew Sanford and girlfriend Isabeau Mikulastik. Bill was also the proud and only slightly teasing brother to Marlene Bauer, and she and her daughters Kristy Bauer and Jillian Giuca, along with her husband Tony and baby Gavin, increased his joy. A co-founder of the HURGVS Golf Club in Connecticut, Bill continued to serve the club in recent years as an unofficial historian. His family hope that, in memory of him, you follow his lead and reach out to friends and family often so that, like him, you may live a life with no regrets. Those so inclined could make donations in his name to the American Diabetes Foundation. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 10 at 2:00 in the afternoon at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home at 606 W. Airport Freeway in Irving. SERVICES
