William "Bill" James Reynolds, 82, of Irving, Texas passed away peacefully at his home on September 15, 2016. He was born June 21, 1934 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Charles and Grace (McConnell) Reynolds. He served in the United States Air Force from October 1957 until April 1963. He came to Texas by transfer of his job in 1961. He retired from The Trident Company in June 2000 after 30 years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents along with sisters, Betty Weaver, Barbara Williams and Lois Mitzel. He is survived by the love of his life Shirley (Jacobs) Reynolds whom he married March 9, 1962; daughters, Carol and husband Matt Merritt of McKinney, Texas and Cathy and husband John Rubino of Frisco, Texas; He had one amazing grandson Jake Merritt who was his boy and pride and joy. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. The family received friends for a memorial service on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, 211 West Third Street in Irving. Inurnment was at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the General fund at the First United Methodist Church of Irving.
