Bill was born in San Pedro, California, the only son of Edith and William Malloy, Sr. and grew up in San Diego. He attended Saint Augustine High School. He was an active member of the Dominican Laity since 2000, serving the friars at the Priory of St. Albert the Great in Irving and as treasurer for the greater Southern Province.
