William Earle Bill Coffey, Sr., age 84, a resident of Irving since 1955, died Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Baylor, Scott and White Medical Center in Irving. Born August 2, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of John Clarence Coffey and Letha Winona Gressett Coffey. He married Margaret Jean Brownlee February 24, 1950 in Lancaster, Texas and later served in the U S Army during the Korean Conflict. They moved to Irving in 1955. He retired as a supervisor with International Harvester. He was a member of Plymouth Park Baptist Church Irving. Preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Thomas Coffey, he is survived by his wife, Margaret Coffey of Irving; daughters, Debra Kay Hoy and husband Bill of Crawford, Laura Lea Seiter and husband Kirk of Grand Prairie, and Lou Ann Anders and husband Mark of Arlington; son, William Earle Coffey, Jr. and wife Marti of Leander; sisters, Doris Elaine King of McKinney, Patsy Robinson and husband Walt of Mesquite, and Galina Lewis and husband Jim of Victoria, British Columbia; eleven grandchildren, Carolyn Elizabeth Hoy Streett and husband Matt, Greg Hoy, D. J. Seiter and wife Jen, Timothy Seiter, Jeremy Seiter, Matthew Seiter, Wade Anders, Hailey Anders Galvan and husband Blas, William Earle Coffey, III, Cody Coffey, and Melody Coffey; and five great grandchildren. The family received friends at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home on Monday, August 1st and the funeral was held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, August 2nd. Bill's son in law, Dr. William G. "Bill" Hoy officiated. Bill was buried with military honors at Ferris Memorial Park North in Ferris, Texas.
