WILLIAM O. BILL CARROLL, age 80, a resident of Arlington for eight years, formerly of Irving for over 50 years, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at a local hospital. Born October 16, 1930 in Brownsboro, Texas, he was the son of William M. and Vera Sizemore Carroll. On August 6, 1953, he married Ruth Bolin in Irving. Bill was a member of Oak View Baptist Church in Irving. He was an avid shotgun sportsman. Preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister, and his beloved dog, Molly, he is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ruth of Arlington; daughter, Pam Gray and husband Ed of Arlington; daughter Brenda OKeefe and husband Michael of Mansfield; son, Mike Carroll and wife Kathy of Kennedale; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wallace Philpot officiating.
