Weslie J. "Wes" Kriska, Sr., age 88, of Georgetown, formerly of Irving, died Monday, October 28, 2019 in Georgetown. Born March 31, 1931 in Ennis, Texas, he was the son of the late Joe Kriska and Mary B. Kubin Kriska. He joined the United States army and was discharged in1948. He moved to Irving in 1953 and married Peggy Sue Christian September 2, 1955 in Dallas. They attended Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church of Irving. Preceded in death by his wife Peggy May 24, 2018, by his parents, and siblings, Joe, Ben, Larry, Mary Kay, Helen and Frances, he is survived by his son, Weslie J. Kriska, Jr. and wife Mela of Flower Mound, Texas; a daughter, Joan Speer and husband Darrin of Georgetown; six grandchildren, Weslie J. Kriska, III, Rachel Thompson, Nicolas Irland, Darrin Speer, II, Dawson Speer, and Gracie Speer; two great grandchildren, Logan Irland and Liam Irland; a brother, Franklin Kriska; and a sister, Dorothy Bjork. The family will receive friends 6:00 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2019 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving with Rosary to be said at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Noon on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 in the North Mausoleum Chapel of Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane in Dallas 75220. Entombment with military honors will follow. Memorials may be made to Catholic Charities or to St. Judes Hospital. SERVICES
