Wayne Sanderlin, a long-time resident of Irving, died on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the age of 83. Born March 20, 1933 in Fort Worth, Texas to Ito Peorare and Frances Belle (Mathers) Sanderlin, Wayne was a Building Superintendent for over 20 years for a Dallas insurance company. He is survived by wife of 54 years, Marilyn; sons, Mark Sanderlin of Weatherford and Dan Sanderlin and wife Wendy of Roanoke; brothers, Gene Sanderlin of Littleton, Colorado, Don Sanderlin of Ft. Worth and Jerry Sanderlin and wife Jo of Ft. Worth; two grandchildren, Cerys Sanderlin and Daylan Sanderlin. Wayne was a member and Deacon at Meadowbrook Baptist Church and, previously, at Colonial Baptist Church. The family received friends on Tuesday, November 8th at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at at Meadowbrook Baptist Church. Rev. Kevin Weathers officiated. Burial at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
