Wayne "Corky" Pate, 87, a resident of Irving since 1952 died on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at a local hospital. He was born on January 10, 1931 in Dallas to Ira Emmanuel and Clara Belle (Walker) Pate. He is preceded in death by six siblings. Survivors include, his wife of 66 years, Betty; daughters, Sharon Koehling and husband James of Frisco and Susan Pineider and husband Paul of Colleyville; five grandchildren: Brandon Koehling and wife Sarah of Jenks, Oklahoma, Lindsey Koehling also of Jenks, Nikolas Pineider and wife Natalie of Grapevine, Drew Pineider and wife Gabriela of Fort Worth, and Juliana Pineider of Colleyville; four great-grandchildren: Asher, Bryson, Ethan, and Gavin Koehling, all of Jenks, Oklahoma; a sister, Melba Jean Durham of Colleyville; two nieces, Brenda Garrett of Alexandria, Louisiana and Connie Hevey of Dallas; and a nephew, Lloyd Pate of Prosper, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12 in the Chapel at First Baptist Church, 403 South Main Street, Irving, Texas 75060. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Boulevard, Irving, Texas 75060 immediately following the service.
