Wayne K. Janes, 79, of Plano, died on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at his home. He was born on July 31, 1939 in Dallas, Texas to the late Ray H. and Catherine (Davis) Janes. Wayne served in the US Air Force for 6 years; then almost 20 years in the National Guard. He retired from the State of Texas Human Services where he was a Case Worker. He is survived by his wife, Kathlyn; children: Lynn Ash (Wendall) of Arlington, Steve Krzykowski (Kelly) of Mesa, Arizona, Lori Miknavich (Doug Crook) of Irving, Karen Bethard (Grant) of North Richland Hills, Ann Krzykowski of Irving; brother, Ray Janes, II (Shirley) of Denton; Nephew Ray Janes, III (Cheryl) of Highland Village; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Wayne is also preceded in death by a niece, Deborah Janes; 2 grandsons, Britt and Nicholas Harman and one great-grandaughter, Sloan Ash. A committal service with U S Air Force honors will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211. Those wishing to attend should be in Lane 1 by 1:45 p.m. on that date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
