Wayne John Gerold, a resident of Grand Prairie for 20 years, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the age of 72. He was born on December 11, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York to Nicholas John and Edith Margaret (Bauer) Gerold. Wayne married Brenda Joyce Williams on March 9, 1996. He served his country in the US Army, was a self-employed salesman and was a member of Northgate United Methodist Church in Irving. He is survived by his wife, Brenda of Ft. Worth; children: Stewart Gerold of North Carolina, Chris Gerold of Garland, Lauren Logan and husband Mike of California, Angela Vail and husband Johnny of Irving, Tony Brewer and wife Cheryl of North Carolina, Tonya Trub and husband Charles of Colorado; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Neil Gerold and wife Brenda of Mesquite and sister, Lynn Dockins and husband Terry of Mesquite; daughter-in-law, Jackie Gerold of North Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 18 at Northgate United Methodist Church, 3700 W. Northgate Drive, Irving, Texas 75062.
