Walter Reginald Hudson (Reggie Hudson) of Irving Texas passed away peacefully, Sunday, September 19th, 2021 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center of Grapevine surrounded by his loved ones, and in great spirits.
Walter, known to all as Reggie, was born April 5, 1953 at George Air Force Base in Victorville CA to proud parents Millie Carolyn Hudson and Leslie Stone Hudson Jr. The three of them enjoyed California for a while, and then moved to Irving Texas in Spring of 1959. Reggie had really enjoyed being an only child to Carolyn and Les for almost 7 years beforeBoom, Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom and Boom, he had 6 younger siblings, who he would cherish and adore. Reggie helped to raise his brothers and sisters before going out on his own, and meeting the loves of his life, Teresa England, and his soon to be lovely young daughter Tarryne. Reggie and Teresa wed in 1988 and Reggie, Teresa, and Tarryne decided three was not enough too, and Brittany Ann Hudson was born in January 1989. While Reggie and Teresa loved each other dearly, things happen and they parted ways, but still with love in their hearts and an everlasting friendship.
Reggie was a hard worker his entire life, he spent the majority of his time managing a local grocery chain, before retiring and working with Texaco, where he thoroughly enjoyed being able to interact with people every day. That was the thing about Reggie, he loved people, and people genuinely loved him. If you knew Reggie, you know that his daughters meant everything to him, but you would also know sports were his life. All sports, but really baseball and football were his favorites, and while he was a Texas fan through and through, he loved his New York Yankees. I mean Loved, Loved. Reggie enjoyed watching the games and he liked to bet a little and let you know who the winners were going to be, and in most cases, he was right. Ask Brittany and Tarryne if you want to know his picks for World Series and Superbowl this year.
Reggie will be missed by all, but specifically his daughter Tarryne Brown and husband Johnathan Brown, and by daughter Brittany Hudson, as well as his grandchildren from Tarryne, Paige and Nathan. Reggie has also left behind his sister Bridget Hill and Husband Steve Castillo, sister Brenda Sattar, brother Les Hudson III, and sister Rose Hudson and husband Matt Honeycutt. Nephew J.D. Hudson and wife Veronica Andrade, Niece Chrystal Covington and husband Andy Covington, Nephew Nick Hill and wife Liz Vo Hill, niece Candyss Fowler and husband Rodney Fowler, Nephew Harrison Hudson, and nephew Peyton Hudson. Great niece Elizabeth Hudson, great nephew Marcus Hudson, great niece Danielle Hudson, great niece Emerie Castillo, great nephew Hudson Covington, great niece Millie Parks, great nephew Reese Covington, and great nephew Maverick Fowler. He is preceded in death by his mother Carolyn Hudson and father Les Hudson Jr., as well as his brother Brian Hudson, sister Millie Spillman and brother in law Abdus Sattar.
