Vickie Lynn Smith Steward, 63, of Justin, formerly of Irving, died Monday, July 22, 2019 at her home after a brief illness. Born October 13, 1955 in Dallas, she was the daughter of the late Bobby Glenn Smith and Betty Jo Mayes Smith. She grew up in Irving, graduated from Nimitz High School and later Mountain View College. She married Don W. Steward August 18, 1978 in Irving. She was employed by Allstate Insurance for thirty-one years. Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her husband Don of Justin; two sons, Christopher Loyal Steward of Grapevine and Michael Brian Steward of Justin; a grandson, Lucas Bennie Steward; a granddaughter, Summer Lynn Steward; a sister Rhonda "Ronnie" Price of Savannah, Texas; a brother, Robert Michael Smith and wife Jessica of Austin; three nephews, Jonathan Price of Los Angeles, CA, Wesley Smith and Jordan Smith, both of Austin; a niece Sofia Smith; a sister-in-law and her husband, Linda Larkin and Jack of Irving; and long-time very close friend, Lynna Melton Eggimann and husband Jeff of Flower Mound. The family will receive friends 6:00 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens 1413 E. Irving Blvd. in Irving.
