VERNON R. CORNELIUS, SR., 78 of Irving, TX, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015. Vernon was born in Marion, OH to Florence and Randall Cornelius. Thirty-three years of Vernon's career were spent working as a Master Bakery Technician for Rich Products, Buffalo, NY, which allowed him the opportunity to travel the country including Puerto Rico. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth, Sons Eric Anthony "Tony" and Vernon Ray Jr. "Butch", his beloved dog Miss Daisy, mother, father, brother Vaughn and sister Valara. Survivors include his daughter, Debbie Milliron and her husband Ron, granddaughter Courtenay and grandson Kyle and his wife Jaci. Vernon will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and friend to all who knew and loved him. Vernon never missed an opportunity to share the love of Jesus. He remained optimistic and hopeful until his last breath. Joy comes in the morning. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery in Marysville, Ohio.
