Tommy Wood age 71 of Irving died Wednesday, October 16, 2019. He was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on March 1, 1948 to John D Wood and Bessie Lee Ravia. Tommy called Irving home for the past 40 years. He worked for the City of Irving as the Director of Public Works before his retirement in 1996. Tommy married is wife Laura on April 30 of 1976. He is survived by his wife Laura; daughters, Sherrie Wood of Irving, Kim Burkleo and husband Kevin of Arlington, Trina Camarillo and husband George of Euless; Son, Christopher Wood and wife Vanessa of Grand Prairie; Step-daughter, Tammy McBride of Lake Kiowa, Texas; brother, James Wood of Tennessee; sister, Loeta McPherson of Tennessee and 15 grandchildren, Jessie Salters, Henry Salters, Sheldon Wood, J.T. Grandadam, Noah Wood, Alexander Wood, Charlize Wood, Brian Wood, Carlos Cortez, Jacob Cortez, Victoria Camarillo, David Mares, Courtney Mares, Sierra Clemmons, Aiden Gowdy. He is preceded in death by his son, Thomas "Tommy" Wood Jr..
