Thomas Adrian Younger, 89, a resident of Irving since 1954, died Friday, April 24, 2020 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Born December 19, 1930 in Chelsea, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late Dee Andrew Younger and Anna Lorene Millender Younger. He went into the U S Air Force in 1950 and later studied aviation technical instruction. He married Patsy Ruth Burge May 8, 1952 in Dallas. Employed by Braniff Airlines and later Flight Safety and Dalfort, he retired as a technical instructor in 1996. He was a long-time member of West Side Church of Christ in Irving. Survivors include his children, Glinda LaFleur and husband Rene of Frisco, Regina Hunt and Donald Younger, both of Irving, and Debbie Miller and husband Gary of New Braunfels, Texas; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Pat Younger in 2001, his parents, and by all of his siblings, Velma Brandana, Marvin Younger, and Mary Melton. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions, a come and go viewing will be held from Noon until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. A private family graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving with Mark Roberts officiating.
