TED R MELTON of Irving, TX May 1942 to November 27, 2017 He Crossed the finish line after a three and a half year battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Patricia Melton. Children: son, Jake Melton and wife Brooke of Sagnaw,TX; son, Pat Allen Mullins and wife Becky of Burleson, TX, and daughter, Amanda Melton of Lewisville, TX. Brother: Wayne Melton and wife Karen of Washington, N.C. Sister: Sandie Herrell and husband Floyd of Wichita Falls, TX and several grand children. He appreciated the constant contact and support from his nephews, cousins and a very special thanks for all of his running buddies who have been there for the last 35-40 years and saw him through the hard times and ran his butt into the dirt. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 29 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway, Irving, Texas 75062. Funeral service will be in the Chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, November 30th at 9:30 a.m. Rev. Bob Harper will officiate.
