STEVEN TIBBETTS, age 59, life-long resident of Irving, died March 9, 2012. Born August 6, 1952 in Dallas, TX to Bennie and Flouretta Stapleton Tibbetts, he was an avid golfer and loved his family and had a special love for his one grandson. Preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Renee Rostine Tibbetts, he is survived by his daughters, Hayley Tibbetts of Irving, and Alexa Steward and husband Christopher of Grapevine; grandson, Lucas Steward; sister, Betty Dean of Irving; brother-in-law, Bob Rostine and wife Lin of Norton; nieces, Kathy Strawn of Irving and Shauna Chanda of Colorado; nephew, Michael Dean of New Mexico; and many cherished friends. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Monday, March 12, 2012 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be at Noon on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 W. Airport Freeway in Irving. Burial will follow at Laurel Land Cemetery of Dallas. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in memory of his wife.
