Shirley Ann (Jensen) Wheeldon, age 89, beloved wife, mother, Mama and sister passed away peacefully on March 25, 2023. She was born July 14, 1933 to Harvey Walter and E .Esther Jensen in Viborg, South Dakota. She met Gene C. Wheeldon while employed at Braniff Airways in Omaha, Nebraska; they married June 1, 1954 in Viborg, South Dakota. Together, they welcomed two daughters, Cindy and Kim. Shirley was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. She was also employed by Emmco Insurance Company and NCH. She is predeceased by her infant brother (David), parents, granddaughter (Meredith McGregor) and husband of 59 years, Gene. Left to honor and cherish her memory are daughter Cindy (Randy) Butler of Grapevine, TX; daughter Kim (Mark) McGregor of Arlington,TX; granddaughter Megan (Jason) Moxon of Tarpon Springs, FL; grandson Matthew (Brittany) McGregor of Apoka, FL and sister Eleanor Jones of Grapevine, TX. A family gathering will be held at Colonial Funeral Home of Irving on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 9:00 to 9:30 am followed by a procession to DFW National Cemetery for a 10:00 am graveside service.
