SHIRLEY A. POTTS, age 87, of Azle, Texas, formerly of Irving, died on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at her home. Born October 30, 1928 in Loveland, Colorado to Louis H. and Fanny McWhorter Hasemeyer, Shirley was a Supervisor in the banking industry. As a young adult Shirley lived in Alaska and worked in banking. On June 20, 1969, Shirley married William Daniel Bill Potts in Irving, Texas. They lived in Irving from 1969 to 1995. She worked in banking in Fort Worth during that time. She retired as a supervisor with Bank of America. She and her husband moved to Colorado for 11 years and later to Azle in 2005. Shirley has been a member of Calvary Church since 1970 and was a member of the Wisdom Seekers Sunday School Class. She is survived by husband, William Daniel Bill Potts of Azle; children, Patricia Wright and husband Bobby of Brownsville, Daniel R. Potts and wife Marjorie of Azle, David Nollin Potts and wife Twilla of Farmers Branch; two grandchildren, Daniel Potts, Jr. and wife Nicole of Arlington, and Jessica A. Potts of Arlington; nine great-grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews, Shirley Joyce Jones and husband Clark Paul of Azle, Karen Louise Harrell and husband Loyd of Kalkaska, Michigan, Dawn Renee Cannon and husband Shaun of Azle, James Edward Turnipseed, Jimmy West and wife Billie Sue, Belinda Woolsley, and Dollie Crow; grand-nieces and nephews, Tiffany Cannon of Azle, Paul R. Loza III of Fort Worth and Carmen Louise Jalomo (Ruben) of Fort Worth as well as several great-grand nieces and nephews. Shirley is preceded in death by two sisters, Carol Jean Rider and Leslie Louise Turnipseed. The family received friends on Tuesday, September 20th prior to the funeral service in the chapel of Calvary Church, 4401 N. Hwy 161, Irving, Texas 75038.
