Shirley Brice, 82, a resident of Irving since 1962, died Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Avant Rehabilitation Center. Born December 23, 1936 in Nocona, Texas, she was the daughter of Ernest Thurman and Ola Faye Orrell Thurman. She worked for General Telephone, now known as, Verizon for thirty years. She was Baptist. She is preceded in death by son, Ernest Brice on November 13, 2019 and brother Ernest Thurman. Survivors include her sons, Doyle Brice and wife Sarah of Overland Park, Kansas and Jimmy Brice of Irving, Texas; daughter, Valerie Ervin of Irving, Texas; grandchildren, Shannon Ervin, Tommie, Christiana Brice, Declan Brice, Joshua Brice and Felicia Brice; sister, Billie Cook of Nocona. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2019 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway, Irving, Texas 75062. Family will receive friends from 1:00 2:00 on Friday before the service. Burial will be Friday, December 27, 2019 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Boulevard, Irving, Texas 75060.
