Sherry Youvonne Brown Carpenter, 69, a resident of Allen since 2002, formerly of Irving, died Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Medical City in Lewisville. Born December 5, 1952 in Chicota, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Byron Brown and Hattie Naomi Wortham Brown. She married Dickie Ray Carpenter December 8, 1972 in Dallas. He preceded her in death in 2002. She worked in accounting for Texas Kenworth for over twenty-five years before retiring. Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dickie Ray Carpenter, she is survived by her two sons, Richard Carpenter and Eric Carpenter, both of Allen; two granddaughters, Scarlet Garcia and Alayna Hamby; a sister Darlene Reid; and a brother Johnny Brown. The family will receive friends 9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Colonial Funeral Home of Irving, 606 West Airport Freeway 75062.
