Shelia Spencer Wades entered this life on May 1, 1948. She was the 5th child of the late Elder, Azell Spencer and Vera Lee Ward Spencer. She accepted Christ at an early age at the Anadarko Christian Church in Laneville, Texas. Ms. Wades attended Allen High School during her elementary years. Her family moved to Tyler, Texas where she continued her education in Junior High and graduated from Emmett Scott Senior High School where she had been an active member of the Spanish Club, a language she loved. She was also an avid reader. After graduation she went to Tyler Secretarial School and later worked as a secretary for Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Texas. She later moved to Dallas, Texas and enlisted in the United States Air Force. She served for four years and received an Honorable Discharge. Ms. Wades was a person strong in her faith. She attended many churches and was a member of Canada Drive Christian Church in Dallas. Ms. Wades was married to Leroy Wades, who preceded her in death. Shelia Spencer Wades departed this earth on Friday, December 8, 2017. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Deca and Tamara; six grandchildren: Alexander Spencer Williams, Delon Spencer Williams and Nicholas Spencer, Kiera Uzuegbu, Chelsea Uzuegbu and Zion Nnabuike. She also leaves five siblings to cherish her memory: Raydell Spencer, Billy Spencer, Jerry Spencer, Shirley Adams and Janice Spencer. She will be remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 17 in the Chapel at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway, Irving, Texas. Pastor Shirley S. Adams and Minister Janice Spencer will officiate. Graveside service to follow at 3:00 p.m. in Laneville, Texas at Azell and Vera Lee Spencer Memorial Park , 13410 F.M. 1662. SERVICES Funeral Service
