Nana Obituary The family of Sandra "Sandy" Yvonne (Rawlings) Muzyka of Irving is saddened to announce her passing on September 18, 2021 at the age of 79 years. She was born November 14, 1941, in Dallas County a daughter of the late R. D. Rawlings and Dorothy Virginia (Hine) Hendricks, and a step-daughter to James Wallace Hendricks. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Raymond; children: Mike and his wife Jill (Floyd) Muzyka; grandchildren: David and Josh Blair, Kennedy and Logan Muzyka; Sister, Micki Hendricks Jones Harman; sister-in-law, Betsy Harman; as well as numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Amy; Aunt Betty; her mother and father Jim and Virginia Hendricks. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Sandy. She loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. She was famous for her chocolate chip cookies she baked with and for her grandchildren. She loved her family more than anything, and being a Nana was her greatest joy. She was a friend to every dog, bird, cat, or person she met, and her kindness and compassion was contagious. Sandy was playfully competitive whether it be while running, playing card games, or working on puzzles. A world traveler, Sandy shared the most wonderful experiences with her husband Ray. She never left home without her Canon camera. Sandy loved to try new things and capture all the wonderful things life had to offer. However, her most favorite activity was sharing stories and her pictures of her travels while playing card games and board games and working on puzzles. Sandy filled her home with love, kindness, great stories, games, laughs, and wonderful food. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday September 23, 2021 at Colonial Funeral Home of Irving, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. SERVICES
