Ruth Dockery, 90, of Irving, Texas passed away May 16, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Honey Grove, Texas September 25, 1926 to the late Frank C. and Nora Myrtle (McClure) Welch. She later met Harvey Dockery, the love of her life and on May 6, 1945, they wed in Honey Grove, Texas. As a military bride, she moved frequently and over the years, enjoyed annual trips to Las Vegas, Hawaii and our nations capital. For many years, Ruth volunteered as a Gray Lady of the American Red Cross and various hospitals. At home, she also enjoyed cooking and caring for her beautiful Tropicana Roses. Survivors include her dedicated husband Harvey Dockery; children: Harva Dockery of Dallas, Douglas Dockery of North Richland Hills and Alaine Dockery of Irving; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
