Funeral services for Ruben M. Carranza, 82, of Irving will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the Colonial Funeral Home of Irving. The burial will follow at the Bear Creek Cemetery in Euless, TX. Friends and family may visit from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Friday, September 6th at the funeral home. Ruben, the son of Mario Cesar and Ofelia Escamila Carranza, was born February 23,1942 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He passed away Sunday, September 1st at his residence in Irving. Ruben was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Stephen Carranza. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 36 years, Martha Carranza; children, Richard (wife, Myriam) Carranza, Sonya (husband, Rigo) Velasquez, Adelle (husband, Vince) Carranza-Mongaras, Wendy (husband, Chris) Brooks, Ofelia (husband, Charles Edwards) Carranza, Abigail (husband, Brett Schleif) and Sandra (husband, Franklin Montoya) Carranza; Malcolm Fried (adopted son); 21 Grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
