Roy Lee Jones, 90, a resident of Irving since 1962, died Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Arlington Memorial Hospital. Born January 30, 1932 in Bonham, Texas, he was the son of the late Oscar Charlie St. Clair Jones and Nannie Myrtle Headrick Jones. He served briefly in the United States Navy. He married Eloise Smith December 21, 1962 in Irving. She preceded him in death in 2018. He was a retired bookkeeper for electrical utilities and member of Oak View Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his wife and two step-sons, Bill and Dan Arrington, he is survived by his children, Kevin Jones of Irving; and Carol White and husband Craig of Waxahachie; a brother Wayne Jones of Sachse, TX: nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Blvd. under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Irving, 606 West Airport Freeway 75062.
