RONNY WELBORN, age 64, a lifelong resident of Irving, died Saturday, May 21, 2011 at home. Born October 4, 1946 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Billy and Gene Welborn, he was an employee of General Motors in Arlington, retiring after 23 years. Ronny was an avid Harley Davidson fan and a giving and caring son, brother and father. Preceded in death by his loving mother, Gene Welborn on May 9, 2000, survivors include his son, Zach Welborn; father, Billy Welborn and his wife Nancy, all of Irving; sister, Donna Bringewald and husband Peter of Fredericksburg, TX; brother and best friend, Jim Robisheaux of Irving. He is also survived by his miniature golden retriever, Shasta. A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel.
