Ronnie Glenn Starnes, 70, a resident of Irving for 43 years, died suddenly Monday, April 4, 2022 at his home. Born October 10, 1951 in Bonham, Texas, he was the son of the late James Herschel Starnes and Myrtle Jane Starnes. He grew up and graduated from high school in Van Alstyne, Texas. On April 14, 1978, he married Peggy Lee Crawford in McKinney. He worked in warehousing for auto painting companies before his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Starnes of Irving; two sons, Jason L. Starnes of Garland and Ronnie Shane Starnes of Minden, Texas; a grandson, Jason Paul Starnes of Dennison; two sisters, Andrea McLaine and Nena Luttrell, both of Garland; and two brothers, James Harold Starnes of Van Alstyne and Lloyd Ray Starnes of Irving. The family will receive friends 6:00 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2022 at Scoggins Funeral Home, 637 West Van Alstyne Parkway in Van Alstyne, Texas. The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Scott Cemetery in Rea Mill near McKinney. SERVICES
