RONALD RON L. PRESTON, age 70, a resident of Irving for 25 years, died Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Baylor Medical Center in Irving. Born January 5, 1943 in Boca Raton, Florida, he was the son of Oakley Leon Preston Jr. and Margaret Jane Oakley Preston. Ron was an I.T. computer technician for UNISYS Company in Dallas for ten years and an Air Force Veteran. Preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Janice Preston, he is survived by his wife of 26 years, Carla Preston of Irving; daughter, Michelle Beasley and husband Kuni of Frisco; grandchildren, Rachel Adams, Bryce Adams, Lawrence Adams and Rebekah Adams; sister, Kay Eggleston and husband Don of Colorado; and brother, David Preston and wife Yu Seng of Ohio. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 11, 2013 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
