RON PIERCE, age 67, a resident of Irving since 1957, died Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Irving. Born March 29, 1948 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the son of Jesse Wilburn Pierce and Helen Zeveney Pierce, he graduated from Irving High School where he played the clarinet in Irving Highs award winning band. He earned a bachelor degree from the University of North Texas. On October 21, 1977, Ron married Debra Jackson in Irving. He was a member of the Irving Lodge, and a member of Saint Lukes Catholic Church in Irving. Preceded in death by his parents, survivors include his wife Debra; daughter, Jennifer Shelby and husband Jason of Waxahachie; daughter, Kristine Pierce Archer and husband Josh of North Richland Hills; grandchildren, Adrianne Shelby, Cole Shelby, Elijah Shelby, Jacob Mayfield and Luke Archer. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 20 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving with Chaplain Jim Poole officiating. SERVICES
