Robert Earl Witte, 89, of Irving, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018. He was born in 1928 in Victoria, Texas to the late Frank and Aline (Etheridge) Witte. He served with the US Army in Korea. Bob met the love of his life Barbara J. Franklin and in 1955 they married in Victoria, Texas. Bobs passion was the Trumpet, playing in several local and church bands. He was artistic, loved to talk and had a great sense of humor. He also had a simple and sincere love for Jesus Christ and overflowing gratitude for Gods blessings in his life. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Bob leaves behind his dedicated wife Barbara Witte; children: Ginger and husband Kevin Ewer of Richardson, Mark Witte of Carrollton and Gaye Carson of Irving; three grandchildren: Layton Carson and wife Ashley, Brittany Michelle Ewer and Collin Ewer; and one great-grandchild Macey Carson. Visitation will be Thursday, March 29, 2018 6-8 PM at Donnelly's. Funeral Service will be Friday, March 30, 2018 at 11 AM at the Irving Bible Church: 2435 Kinwest Pkwy, Irving, Texas with burial to follow at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. SERVICES
