Robert S. "Big Rob" Combs, 69, of Irving, died Sunday at a Dallas hospital. Born October 5, 1950 in Dallas, he wasthe son of the late Howard Combs and Betty Davis Combs. He served in the U. S. Army during the Viet Nam Conflict. He worked in the printing business, but is best known as a member of the Red Handle Gang, a local Southern Rock Band. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his children, Rob "Little Rob" Combs, Kelly Broeker, and Megan Hunold; three grandchildren, Lola Rae Combs, Everly Broeker and Kyli Phillips; a sister Dottie Combs; and brother Johnny Combs. No services are planned at this time.
