RICHARD W. RICH GAMBARO, SR. age 69, a resident of Irving since 1963, died Saturday, August 27, 2011, at his home. Born July 14, 1942 in Niagara Falls, New York, he was the son of Nicholas and Ethel Elsie Kumm Gambaro. A master air conditioning and HPAC engineer, he was Catholic and a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and a sister, he is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joyce; sons, Richard W. Gambaro, Jr. and wife Kelly of Irving, Dominic J. Gambaro and wife Shirley of Fort Worth, and Christopher Scott Gambaro and wife Angela of Flower Mound; two daughters, Kimberly L. Gambaro and husband Roger Catt of Irving and Stephanie M. Gambaro of Flower Mound; 10 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. A visitation and viewing will be 5:00 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Inurnment will be at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
