Richard Allen Buck, 87, of Irving, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in Irving. He was born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas on September 3, 1930 to Virgil Allen and Norma Grace (Thomason) Buck. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. A member of First Baptist Church in Irving since 1972, he is preceded in death by his wife Merle, June 27, 2018, his parents, two grandsons, Ben and Andrew Buck, and two siblings, Mamie Cathryn Buck and Howard Virgil Buck. Survivors include his sons, Jerry and wife Denise of Hurst, Ken and wife Lea Ann of Mesquite, and Robert "Neal" and wife Anngela of Bedford; grandchildren, Lauren Austin and husband James, Ryan Buck and wife Carrie, and Lindsey Williams and husband Braz, Brittany Buck, and Aaron Buck and wife Betsy; great-grandchildren: Parker and Sydney Austin, Leah, Ty, Rhett, Jaxon, Davin, Zaiden and Quinn Buck, and Sloane Williams. The family will receive friends from Noon-until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at the church. The memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary at First Baptist Church Irving, 403 South Main Street, Irving, Texas 75060. Wayne Watkins will officiate. Burial will be at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Irving "Bereavement Fund". SERVICES
