Richard Bacon, born January 21, 1926 in Dallas, Texas was called home by his heavenly father August 21, 2011. Survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Lou Bacon; son, John Bacon and wife Linda; daughter, Rhonda Bacon Miller and husband Mike; four grandchildren, Angela Bacon Kidwell, Chad Bacon, Kristian Kleinert, Derek Kleinert; and eight great-grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Fox and sister, Maythell Gallop. He served in the Army Air Corp. during World War II. He established and built a successful manufacturing company and served as President until his passing. Richard was a faithful Christian and was blessed with a happy, healthy, prosperous life for most of his 85 years. Richard loved life and was most happy surrounded by family and friends. The family will receive friends from 9 10 a.m. prior to the service at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 25 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Dallas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia or Cancer Society of America in lieu of flowers.
