Ray Ballard, born April 8, 1932 in New Mexico, left us Wednesday, March 31, 2010. He went to be with his wife, Judy Ballard. He was the son of Bob and Babe Ballard. He leaves us with three children, Ken, Keith and Karen. He leaves six grandchildren: Joshua and Kiefer, sons of Ken and Alisha; Stephanie and Scott, daughter and son of Keith and Lisa; and Justin and Jeremy, sons of Karen and Jerry Pittman. He also left his great grandson, Landon, son of Joshua and Lanie. He touched so many lives. He was a bookkeeper and a cost accountant. That is what he would tell you. But what he was is the best friend anyone could ask for. "We miss you, Dad." Ray and Judy married April 19, 1958. He was the owner of RMC Tax Service in Irving for more than 25 years, and a member of Oak View Baptist Church in Irving. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 2, 2010 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jim Gerlach officiating. Interment to follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
