Christian funeral mass for Rachel A. Briseno, 92, of Irving will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 10th at the St Luke's Catholic Church in Irving. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 9th from a 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home of Irving Chapel / 606 West Airport Freeway, Irving, TX. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Rachel Araujo Briseno Born on September 16, 1930 in San Antonio, TX to parents Jose & Perfecta Araujo. Proceeded in death by loving husband of 68 years, Pete Briseno. Parents, sisters Pat Medina, Carolina DeLeon & Loretta Morales, niece Enedina Moreno, Estella Valdez and son in law Greg Matlock. Survived by sons Bill Briseno of Irving, Jaime Briseno and wife Pam of Mineola, TX, Naomi Rogers and husband Steve of Mineola and Martha Matlock of Mineola. Sisters Olivia Wylie of East Chicago, IN., Josie Ellis of Lincoln Park, MI., Lydia Hall of Ocala, Fl., Rebecca Grier of Detroit, MI. Mary Dean and husband Brian of Woodhaven, MI. 10 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and many, many friends. She was a member of St. Lukes Catholic Church of Irving. She was active in Catholic Daughters, Alter Society and Silver Seniors. She was also member of Heritage Senior Center.
