Phil W. Cannon, 67, of Farmers Branch was born on August 24, 1958, in Nacogdoches, Texas. He passed away June 13, 2026, at his residence in Farmers Branch. He was the son of Daniel Vernon Cannon and Martha Whitman Cannon.

Phil's favorite thing to do was cooking on his smoker. He loved cooking ribs, burgers, brisket and whatever else he could find. He also loved fishing when he was a young boy.

Phil is survived by his wife of 24 years, Beverly Bennett Cannon; son Chris Hughett; sister Carolyn Wylie; brother Kyle Cannon; nephew, Billy Hughett and niece, Michele Houck and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Phil was preceded in death by his father Daniel V Cannon, mother Martha Cannon and sister Jan Gravitt and nephew Michael Cannon.

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM, Monday, July 6, 2026, at Colonial Funeral Home of Irving Chapel. Burial to follow at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Friends and family may visit Monday, July 6th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel of Irving.
