Paul Ray Lane, age 81, of Cisco, formerly of Cross Plains, Grand Prairie, Brownwood, McKinney, and Stephenville, went home to be with his Lord, early Thursday morning August 1, 2019. Born July 10, 1938 in Cross Plains, Texas, he was the son of the late James Paul Lane and Nellie Marie Jones Lane. He grew up and graduated from High School in Cross Plains. He served in the U S Army 1958 - 1959. He married Carolyn Louise Wooten October 6, 1962 in Cisco. He worked as a tool pusher in the oil fields of Texas. He attended the Assembly of God Church. Preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Kelli Denise Lane, and a brother Freddie Dale Lane, he is survived by his wife Carolyn of Cisco; three daughters, Tracy Evatt and husband Mark of Waxahachie, TX, Sheila Caraway and husband Robert of Cisco, and Deana Moore and husband Jamie of Stephenville; two sisters, Jimmie Nell Montgomery of Burleson and Glenda Farina and husband Rocky of Waxahachie; two brothers Tommie Lane and wife Laquita and Donald Lane and wife Brenda, all of Cisco; eight grandchildren, Tyler Evatt of Madison, TN, Alyssa Evatt of Midlothian, TX, Chase Evatt and wife Bree of Cleburne; Amanda Sanford and husband Kyle of Georgetown, Haleigh Caraway of Cisco, Devin Caraway of Cisco, Kaleb Moore of Stephenville and Gabriel Moore of Stephenville; and six great-grandchildren, Kane, Nolan, and Jayden Evatt and Keri, Kendal, and Cooper Sanford. A memorial service is planned for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the Cisco Church of the Nazarene, 1008 West 10th Street, Cisco, TX 76437. A graveside committal service with military honors will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Cross Plains Cemetery. SERVICES
