Patricia Ann Hall (December 29, 1932 July 9, 2014) was called home after complications from an illness. She was one of two children born to the union of Louis Augustus Perret and Ethel Martha (Harrington) Perret in Bonne Terre, Missouri. She was baptized at Centenary United Methodist Church in 1933. In 1952, she earned a diploma from the Junior College of Flat River and continued her education at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1955 and a Master of Science in Nursing in 1958.
Patricia was completing her student nursing at Barnes Hospital when she met her love and future husband Lorenza Augusta Hall Sr. They were married on February 10, 1959. Pat and Lorenza were blessed with twin daughters, Linda Ann (deceased 2001) and Brenda Lee in 1960, daughter Dianne Marie in 1963, and son Lorenza Augusta Jr. in 1968. After receiving her Masters, Pat worked as a Registered Nurse at the St. Louis State Hospital for several years. On August 16, 1971, she began a new career as a Nursing Instructor at St. Louis Community College at Forest Park. She taught for 28 years until she retired on June 1, 1999. During the same period she worked at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in St. Louis as a Nursing Supervisor on weekends and holidays. Pat & Lorenza were confirmed in the Lutheran faith by adult instruction in 1971 by Pastor Norman C. Meyer at St. Jacobi Lutheran Church.
Patricia was active in community service activities, including the Girl Scouts of America. She was an active member of the St. Jacobi Lutheran Church in Jennings where she proudly served over the years as Sunday School Superintendent and Treasurer. She was also active in the Ritenour Garden Club. She was a volunteer at the historic Fox Theatre in Saint Louis as an usher for many years. Pat shared a passion for gardening with Lorenza; they co-hosted several annual garden tours to support the St. Jacobi Alter Guild Fund.
Lorenza passed in November 2008. In February 2010, Pat and Brenda moved to Irving, TX to live with Larry and Dianne, at Larrys request. While in Texas, she transferred her membership to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Irving, TX; Pastor Eloy Gonzalez. She was lovingly cared for by her family and aide Irene Frempong until God called her home.
Pat is survived by daughters Brenda Hall and Dianne Crumpton (Larry D. Crumpton Sr.); son Lorenza Hall Jr. (Carla Dixon Hall); grandchildren Antonio T. Troupe, Lorenza A. Hall III, Dominique A. Hall and Augustus F. Hall; and great-granddaughter Alannah Troupe. She is also survived by her niece Carol P. Gibbons, cousin Norma Fuchs, her sisters-in-law Ruby Geraldine Williams, Lottie Hall and Jewel Hall; brother-in-law Al Hall; and one nephew (like a brother-in-law) Curtis Price (Linda). Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Stanley Perret; husband, Lorenza and daughter, Linda. She also leaves numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, whom she willingly adopted and incorporated into her family.
Patricia A. Hall was and is loved and cherished by many; she will be missed and in our hearts forever.
