Patricia Bobbie Reese Reed, 90, a long-time resident of Irving, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. Born October 7, 1930 in Graham, Texas, she was the daughter of the late R. C. Reese and Vida Alice Hearn Reese. She moved to Irving when she was a senior in high school. Her father ran a grocery store in Irving for many years. She graduated from the University of North Texas. On September 16, 1951 she married Waun Jeun Reed in Irving. She was pianist at Kirkwood United Methodist Church for about thirty years until its closing when she moved her membership to First United Methodist Church in Irving. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband Waun, and three sons, Jon Mark Reed, Kent Carling Reed, and Wendell Scott Reed, she is survived by a daughter Jill Tongen and husband Wade; three granddaughters, Kathryn Nguyen and husband Nam, Shelby Lowrey and husband Chris, and Danielle Tongen; five great grandchildren, Mason Lowrey, Amelia Lowrey, Charlotte Nguyen, Esther Nguyen, and Rosemary Nguyen; and a sister Anna Wilkins. The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Homel, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 E. Irving Blvd. Rev. Doug Fox will officiate. SERVICES
