OLA J. WELBORN, born on September 25, 1947 in Checotah OK, to Elliehue and Lelia Osborn Cooper, passed away at the age of 69 on April 7, 2017 in Dallas. Ola was a homemaker and a loving grandmother to her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Lee Welborn; sons, Steven Lee Welborn and daughter in-law, Kim, Chad Marshall Welborn and Ronald Craig Welborn and his wife Katrina, all of Irving; six grandchildren, Krista, Jonathan, Tasia, Jennifer, CJ, and Joshua; two great grandchildren, Bryan and Ella; sister, Judy Chastain and one brother, Pete Cooper. Family received friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 13 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, Irving, 75062. Pastor Jackie Robinson to officiate. In Olas memory, memorial contributions may be made to the Childrens Hospital of Dallas.
