NATHA L. CONAWAY, age 89, a resident of Irving since 1965, and formerly of Houston for 20 years, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at an Irving care center. Born June 25, 1924 in Maryneal, Texas, the daughter of Joseph Arthur Walker and Mattie Dillon Walker, Natha graduated from high school at Highland High School in Maryneal. She worked for Salt Dome Oil Company, Texas Oil and Gas, and attended South MacArthur Church of Christ in Irving. Survivors include her daughters, Natha J. Wink of Irving and Teyina Conaway of Denton; grandchildren, Kelly Hallford, Morgan Conaway; great grandchildren, Jordan Hallford, Thomas Wayne Hallford, Chase Walker Hallford; one great-great granddaughter on the way, Madelyn Joy Hallford; and sister, Kitty "Kink" Jones of Purdon, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. Service is 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 31 in the funeral home chapel with Tim Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
