In Loving Memory of
Muanda Edmund Dia Panzu
December 11, 1954 – June 26, 2026
With profound sadness and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Muanda Edmund Dia Panzu, who entered eternal rest on June 26, 2026, at the age of 71.
Born on December 11, 1954, to Simon Lunda Muanda and Debola Nsuka, Edmund was a man of courage, discipline, and unwavering dedication to his family and country. His life was marked by resilience, sacrifice, and a steadfast commitment to serving others.
In his early years, Edmund proudly served in the Zairian Air Force, demonstrating honor and patriotism in the service of his homeland. In 1979, he embarked on a new chapter by immigrating to the United States in pursuit of greater opportunities for himself and future generations of his family.
Determined to continue growing and serving, Edmund attended Our Lady of the Lake University, where he furthered his education. His passion for service led him to enlist in the United States Army, where he continued his distinguished military career, exemplifying integrity, loyalty, and dedication to his adopted country.
Above all else, Edmund cherished his role as a father. He was blessed with five children, each of whom carries forward his legacy of perseverance, strength, and love:
Nsuka Panzu
Silas Panzu
Mary Panzu
Ruthy Brown
Jerome Panzu
His children were the pride of his life, and he found his greatest joy in watching them grow and encouraging them to pursue lives of purpose and integrity.
Edmund is also survived by his youngest sister:
Elysee Muanda
Edmund was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Simon Lunda Muanda and Debola Nsuka, as well as his dear brothers:
Mindu Muanda
Lunda Elie-Jacques Muanda
Lubaya Jérôme Muanda
Adolphe Mbizi Muanda
He was also preceded in death by his beloved sister:
Fatouma Ndangi Muanda
Though many of his loved ones welcomed him into eternal peace, Edmund's memory remains alive in the hearts of his children, extended family, cherished friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Those who knew Edmund will remember him as a man of quiet strength, deep conviction, and enduring faith. He faced life's challenges with determination and dignity, always striving to build a better future for those he loved. His life reflected the values of honor, hard work, sacrifice, and unconditional love.
While our hearts grieve his absence, we rejoice in knowing that his journey continues in the presence of the Lord. His example will continue to inspire generations to come.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness."
