Mokonya Paul Lyonga was born June 26, 1962 by his parents, Hannah Nanyongo Wem and Andrew Efeme Lyonga in Yauonde, Cameroon. He grew up the youngest of 2 sisters and 1 brother. He went to technical school in Limbe, Cameroon and graduated to become a mechanic. He got married to his childhood sweetheart, Elizabeth Ndoko. They have known each other from their small town since 13 years old. Together they share three living children, Bruce Longonje Lyonga, Brooke Nyongo Lyonga and Vidale Alivisa Lyonga, the eldest son Daniel Lyonga passed at the tender age of 3. Mokonya came to the US in the late 80s to pursue a better life for himself and his growing family. Originally touching foot in Canada, he later moved to Texas to join his life partner Elizabeth. He worked hard as a technician to provide for his wife and kids. His goal was to open his own business, with the support of his wife he achieved it. He successfully ran a commercial cleaning company from years 2006 to 2008 called PQ Services. Mokonya never gave in his pursuit to build a happy life for his family. He continued working hard to put his children through school and supported them all the way up until 2017. He suffered a major stroke which was complicated by a fast progressing Vascular Dementia. His wife stood relentlessly by him to make sure he was well taken care of. He was dearly loved and protected up until he Peacefully Transitioned on April 10, 2023 at 11:11pm.
