Mildred Kennedy, age 89, a resident of Irving, Texas for 49 years, died Thursday, April 22, 2010 in Irving. She was born July 18, 1920 in Thompson No. 2, Fayette County, Pennsylvania to Alex and Ruth Seaman Keeney. Preceded in death by her husband, John Kennedy, son, James Kennedy and brother, Alex Keeney, she is survived by her son, John Kennedy and daughter, Karen Chitty, both of Grand Prairie, and daughter, Debra Brisco and husband Jim of Ben Wheeler; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and sister, Thelma Taylor of Winters. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, April 26, 2010 at Irving North Christian Church, 2901 North MacArthur Blvd., Irving. Rev. Barry Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
