MIKE MAHONEY, age 71, a resident of Irving, Texas since 1993, died Thursday, February 25, 2010 at home. He was born October 4, 1938 in Austin, Texas to John DeKalb Mahoney, Jr. and Viola Mae Wood Mahoney, Mike was a retired mail carrier in the Las Colinas area, and a member of the Descendants of Henry Baker. Survivors include his friend, Nit Graham of Irving; god-daughter, Victoria Michelle Davis of Aubrey; sons, Kyle Michael Mahoney of Bedford and Curtis Mitchell Mahoney of Keller; daughter, Mitzi; four granddaughters and four grandsons; sisters, Beverly Jones of Dallas, Suzanne Tayara Mooney and husband Bill of Little Elm; nephews, David Jones of Frisco, John Hulett Jones of San Francisco, California, Shareef Tayara of Houston, Shabeeb Tayara and wife Nofe of Arlington; niece, Jennifer Parrish and husband Mark of Cedar Hill; and four great nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Celebration of Life Church in Irving.
